NeuroMature for dyscalculia
Decades of neurodevelopmental research shows that retained primitive reflexes can interfere with learning, eye-tracking, balance, and coordination , all of which can make learning and maths more demanding.
NeuroMature is our proprietary six-month, at-home exercise program, honed over a decade based on our clinical experience. It uses short daily movement exercises designed to integrate retained reflexes.
Two primitive reflexes in particular can affect maths ability when they remain active beyond infancy.
The Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR), when retained, can affect spatial awareness and the way the eyes work together , both of which matter for visualising numbers, counting accurately and judging relationships between quantities.
The Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR), when retained, can affect vertical eye-tracking, which can make working with columns of numbers and structured equations particularly demanding.
Many clients report improvements in coordination, balance, and the visual and motor skills that underpin reading and number work. Every individual responds differently.
