Trying harder than everyone, and still feeling like you’re falling behind

You put in more than the people around you and still come up short. Confidence goes, anxiety builds, and it starts to feel like your fault. But what if it isn’t under your conscious control? A hidden biological barrier, a retained reflex, hypersensitive hearing or a biochemical imbalance, may be working against you, and no one has looked properly. That is where we start. For adults and children.

the key clinic. est. 2015

You’re not falling short. You’re compensating.

When a reflex never switched off, or the ears take in sound too sharply, or the brain lacks the nutrients it needs, things become much harder than they should be. You compensate for all of it, every day, with effort no one else can see, and it shapes your mood and your confidence in ways that were never in your control.

Most support stops at the symptoms. You already know what you find hard; what you want to know is why?

So we look upstream, at the biology others overlook: the nervous system, how sound is heard, the brain’s biochemistry. For many people, it is the first time they understand that none of it was their fault.

Then we build a program around exactly what we find, for you and no one else. The aim is not to change who you are. It is to take away what you have been working against, so life gets easier, the mood settles, and the capable person who was always there has room to come through. And you do not do any of it alone. A specialist stays beside you the whole way.

Where we start : a screening consultation

The first step is a screening consultation with one of our specialists. From there, we tell you which assessment, or assessments, will give us the picture we need. Depending on what you are experiencing, that may be one or more of the following:

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT

Understanding how the nervous system has matured

a detailed evaluation of retained primitive reflexes, postural reflexes, balance, coordination, eye-tracking and handwriting. In clinic or remotely.

HEARING ASSESSMENT

Understanding how sound is being processed

an in-depth look at how the auditory system is taking in and processing sound, and where it may be working against you.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to begin

We assess first. Then we design your child’s program.

Many of the people we work with are on a waiting list for assessment, or have never been formally assessed at all. You do not need a label to start with us. Our assessment stands on its own, and looks at what is actually happening rather than which box you fit into.

THE THREE PATHWAYS

Three pathways.
One aim: to remove what’s getting in the way.

We assess first. Then we design your child’s program.

Your assessment shows us which of these will help most, and we build your program around the answer. Available for adults and children.

NeuroMature

for retained reflexes

When early reflexes never fully switched off, the body keeps compensating, and focus, coordination and calm all cost more effort than they should. NeuroMature uses short, daily movement exercises to integrate those reflexes, so that effort is freed up. At The Key Clinic it is built around your assessment and guided by a practitioner throughout.

BrightBeatz

for how sound is heard

When the ears take in sound too sharply or unevenly, concentration, reading and emotional regulation all suffer, and noisy places become exhausting. BrightBeatz uses specially modulated music to help the ear listen in a more balanced way. The full version begins with an in-depth hearing test, so the program is shaped to your individual hearing.

BioTransform

for the biochemistry behind how you feel

Mood, focus, sleep and energy all depend on the balance of nutrients the brain has to work with. BioTransform uses targeted testing to find the imbalances at play, then a personalised, practitioner-led plan to address them. It begins with a discovery call, and is delivered by The Key Clinic, whether you come through the app or here.

Ten years. Thousands of families. One consistent approach.

The Key Clinic was founded in 2015 by Sarah Warley, on a simple premise: that many of the difficulties we have with learning, behaviour, mood and emotional regulation have biological roots that can be identified and addressed, not just managed.

In the years since, we have worked with families across the UK, refined our assessment, sharpened our programs, and built an approach that consistently produces results people talk about. Everyone who comes to us receives a program specific to them. It takes more time at the start. It produces better outcomes at the end. And when one person starts to thrive, the whole family feels it.

The Key Clinic or BeBright?

The Key Clinic is the specialist, fully-supported version of this work: a specialist assessment first, then a program built entirely around your results, with a practitioner guiding every step. BeBright, our wider platform, offers the same biology-led programs in self-led form through the app, at an accessible price, so anyone can begin at home, in their own time.

The difference is how much support you want, not your age. Many people start with BeBright and come to The Key Clinic when they want the bespoke, fully supported version; others do just fine with app-based support. If you came here looking for The Key Clinic, you are in the right place.

Not ready for a full clinical assessment, or looking for adult support? BeBright lets anyone start with a free 5-minute assessment and access the self-led versions of our programs. Many families begin there and come to The Key Clinic when they are ready for a fully personalised program for their child.
